Consecutive Degree Programs
- A consecutive Master's program are also called as "follow-on" or "carry-on" Master's programme.
- A Master's study is build on the content which is gained in Bachelor's degree program in the same field or stream.
- For example, you might study an MSc in Mechanical Engineering after a BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Students in the 'Consecutive Program' develop and deepen their knowledge gained in bachelor's program and broaden their understanding of the subject by taking a more interdisciplinary approach.
- These programs or courses do not usually charge any tuition fees.
Non-Consecutive Degree Programs
- A Non-Consecutive Master's program are also called as "Conversion" Master's programme.
- A Master's study that is does not build on the content which is in Bachelor's degree program.
- Graduate students on these courses therefore tend to come from a variety of disciplines.
- The academics are the same as those of a Consecutive Master's programme and lead to the same level of qualification.
- Students having university degree (e.g B.A) and are willing to join a Non-Consecutive Master's programme will generally need to provide proof of at least one year of relevant professional employment.
- These programs or courses usually charge tuition fees.
Second Degree Program
- It only applies, if the second course of study leads to the same level of degree.
- For example, you have completed a Bachelor's course of study and are now applying for admission to another Bachelor's course.
